Bridal showers are one of the most consistently trendy events of Weddings. They are like farewell parties that are organized by either the bride or her friends.
Ladies started to celebrate this event back in 1890s for the first time in history. YES! It’s that old but don’t worry I’m referring to western culture here. Pakistanis espoused the event in 2011 and it’s been trendy since then.
But not as trendy as it is now!
The very first thing you’re going to need is motivation and a theme. The best thing I find about this event is its miscellany and diversity. You can take any theme of the universe for the party! After all it’s your party who can dare to stop you?!
The themes are usually based on the outfits e.g. Princess themes, Sarhi themes, Same Color or Twin themes etc. You can even chose a Halloween or superhero theme as I said You’re Party!
But this might be a horrible idea
Now when you are done deciding the theme, choose your outfits accordingly. The outfits that are usually chosen for bridal showers are far away than fancy show-off. They’re rather cute, comfortable and simply gorgeous so that the ladies can have fun.
Call your Gang! Get your sidekicks. You’re definitely going to need a hand. No, I’m not asking you to make them work. Just get your best buddies and do some DIY, decorate, bake, prepare menu, get your outfits and makeup done and have real fun.
But DON’T!!
You’re party is only going to be grand with friends and they deserve special invitations. If you want them to make your day special, make their invitation special! You can send invitation baskets or handmade cards.
Bridal shower gifts and giveaways
Now if it isn’t your bridal shower and you’re confused what should you present to the bride then either choose from stuff she loves or from stuff she’s going to need after or during her wedding.
But if you’re the bride, you should arrange giveaways for your girls. Giveaways aren’t necessarily expensive, these can be just anything that’d make them smile.
It’s more like a ritual, cakes and sweets are a must! Get a real cool one for your party!
If you guys ate heavy stuff you’re not going to be able to play so never select a heavy menu. Use light burgers, sandwiches, cookies and tea instead. More like a high tea menu.
Get a gorgeously decorated photo booth for a memorable photoshoot and show off your outfits. Use tag boards in your pictures to depict the fun.
