CASHING YOUR JEEJU ON HIS WEDDING

The bond of jeeju and saali is a very special one with full of mischief and there are certain Rasms which strengthen this relationship more.

New generation has replaced many old traditions but guess what? These one are irreplaceable.

You wonder why? Keep reading until the end to know ;)

No doubt these Rasms are hell lot fun for both the sides but yes it’s a little troublesome for the goom :D

RAASTA RUKAI:

The amazing part of this rasm is that it is the first rasm performed by SAALIYAN as soon as the Groom is about to step up on the stage to sit with the bride. So to tease their JEEJU they twist this part in a fun way by stopping the way of GROOM to reach the bride in many entertaining ways.

Then there would be a series of laughters and little jokes between both parties and finally the groom will be let go on the stage in a very respectful manner after he fulfills the demands of his SAALIYAAN that is to pay some CASH ;)

DOODH PILAI:

So the next playful Rasm is Doodh Pilai and it’s not as easy as it sounds!

So after the SAALIYAN accomplish their goals in RAASTA RUKAI they move towards this rasm.

It’s the rasm which is perfomed on BARAT DAY when the bridegroom sit together and get all caught up by the “SAALIYAN” and groom has to take a sip of the milk and pass it on to the bride.

Now here’s the fun part…. The groom doesnot get the glass of milk so easily he AGAIN has to pay his SAALYAN some amount to get that glass. A fun filled argument would take place among the Bride’s side and Groom’s side and at the end as usually JEEJU has to make his SAALIAN happy.

And Preparing for thi Rasm is nothing less than amusment!

You can offer three different ways of drinking with different prices or you can use tags or props on the glasses to make them look more amazing. You can even make the glasses presentable yourself. And if you would go through the other blogs on our website you will find a blog related to unique ways of DOODH PILAI.

So Girls don’t let your BHENOI get away so easily :D

JOOTA CHUPAI:

So here comes the last rasm that is “JOOTA CHUPAI”. There is not any specific time for this rasm. But it is usually performed when there is a chance to hide the Shoes of their BHENOI .

And in this case the only option GROOM has is to either pay his SAALIYAN or leave bare foot :P

They make the groom do some effort to get the Shoes back and also get the money for returning the shoes.

Doesn’t it sound fun? Yes it does ;)

UNGLI PAKDAI:

This Rasm sounds so hilarious yet it’s an old going rasm. Here’s the Saaliyan gather aroung their Jeeju holding his finger and making him more confuse and agaiiinnnn asking for money.

Like emptying the Groom totally but through the slowest lanes rather than the fastest one’s  :P

These all Rasm’s are a great way to tie a joyful knot among Jeeju and his Saaliyan.

A Caution for Grooms:

“IT’S A DANEGEROUS ROUTE DURING YOUR WEDDING TRAVEL SO KEEP YOUR SAFTEY BELTS ON”

i.e keep your pockets filled with money ;)

So now you see why these rasm’s are irreplaceable ;)
