How to make quarantine good?

This global pandemic has stuck everyone to their homes to practice social distancing but most of the people aren’t just stuck in isolation but with their spouses!

So, today we interviewed Dr. Anita Raja to explore her experience of being stuck with her spouse. A live session was conducted by HK with a panel of 4 professionals which included;

Don’t you all think so that this time has brought up with some confusions and distress among couples due to staying almost 20 hours with each other all along?

“I believe that this time is a good opportunity to spend more time with your partner and to get to know each other as well because in this competitive world you hardly have time to spend knowing each other, you can make this period quality by staying intimate to each other.” said Dr. Anita.

“For this, you can plan your activities of the whole day to spend with your spouse e.g., you can make your evening beautiful by enjoying the sunset on your roof by having a cup of tea or a coffee” she further added.

Ooh! Sounds pretty romantic aye!

“And by playing some games with your child.”

“Corona has changed the life style”

Corona has changed the life style by bounding the people to their homes, said Shahid Ajmal.

Dr. Anita also shared with us her activities which she’s adopted during this situation and suggests that we should also use this crisis to our benefit by spending quality time with our families and by practicing useful activities which will add to our mental wellbeing.

“This quarantine life is also impacting negatively to the people in their daily life routine”

This quarantine is also impacting negatively to the people in their daily life and depressing the couples as well so we must focus on what benefits can we have by utilizing this time in a positive way.”

Dr. Anita further aims to fill our heart with hope by adding that “we have gotten a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stop our hectic fast paced busy routine for a while”.

“Unfortunately, we have gave up the activities which we used to opt in our childhood and the modern age has run-short of these”

Ludo, board games, painting etc. these are the activities of old times now. I have a 6-year old who have no idea about this 90s fun so me and my husband decided to play badminton, volleyball, ludo and all those games we used to.

“We played this after a decade”

Dr. Anita shared with us that she resumed these activities after like a decade and it was an overwhelmingly amazing experience for her.

“We paint, spend most of our time in garden and go for a walk”

Mr. Shahid asked Dr. Anita about her routine with her son and she told us that she has made her quarantine a bit more enjoying using healthy activities such as painting, cooking, baking;  they spend most of their time in a garden.

“Staying in front of a TV also gets exhausting”

We need to adopt activities that will add to her physical as well as mental wellbeing.
